When do we process personal data?
To be able to offer our services, we process personal data as required for the performance of the respective service (e.g. claims settlement or risk assessment). On our web pages, personal data are also processed by means of cookies, analysis tools and log files:

  • NoiCom web application for guided taking of photos (app.noimos.ai): Personal data are processed in the context of the claims settlement or risk assessment. This includes in particular personal data that can be viewed on the registration document as well as possible reflections of people in pictures of vehicles.
  • Noi Portal, portal for documenting claims/providing case summaries: Personal data are processed in the context of the claims settlement or risk assessment. This includes in particular personal data that can be viewed on the registration document as well as possible reflections of people in pictures of vehicles.
  • Homepage (noimos.ai): Personal data required for the operation of the website are processed.
  • Contact form: Submitted contact forms for enquiries are used and kept for processing. We do not use contact requests for marketing purposes.
  • Newsletter: When you subscribe, personal data are processed for the purpose of delivering the newsletters.

Collection of personal data:
Personal data are either entered directly by the data subject or, in the context of a claims settlement or risk assessment of an object to be insured, by the persons who do so on behalf of the data subject (e.g. garages or insurance companies).

What personal data are collected and processed?
We collect the personal data that are needed to identify data subjects in connection with the claims settlement or risk assessment of an object in order to enable the handling of business processes (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, licence plate). Furthermore, we process personal data that we receive by means of contact forms or newsletter subscriptions.

Purpose of the processing
We process personal data for claims settlement and risk assessment purposes in particular. This includes the conducting of expert reviews to ensure quality, particularly in the area of visual intelligence, and that some data are used for further development ─ in anonymised form to the extent possible. Personal data are also processed for the purpose of delivering newsletters and processing all kinds of requests from contacting persons. We also need some of the personal data for the due provision of our services on our web pages. Furthermore, we use personal data for user behaviour analyses in order to further optimise our services. Additionally, we process personal data in order to deliver newsletters, as well in order to deal with all kinds of enquiries.

Access to and forwarding of personal data
noimos makes your personal data available to a limited group of users within noimos, who need to have access in order for noimos AG to comply with its contractual and statutory obligations.

noimos forwards personal data to partners and service providers insofar as they need the personal data for the performance of statutory or contractual obligations (of the partners or of noimos). All partners and service providers are under the contractual obligation to treat your personal data as confidential and to process your personal data only insofar as this is required for the service performance, applying the same diligence and care as noimos would.

Where a statutory obligation exists to do so, noimos also forwards your personal data to public bodies and authorities.

Legal basis for the data processing:
If the processing of personal data takes place due to a statutory obligation, this will be deemed the legal basis. For example, this may be the forwarding to third parties or a retention obligation.

If you grant us your consent (e.g. by subscribing to the newsletter), this consent will be deemed the legal basis for the processing.

In the other cases, we process the personal data on the basis of contractual obligations or a legitimate interest, especially to provide and further develop our services in connection with a claims settlement or risk assessment or to optimise our web pages.

Storage and retention of personal data
noimos stores your personal data for as long as it is required to do so by law (e.g. retention period) or for as long noimos has a legitimate interest in storage in order to perform its services and/or operate its web pages.

Personal data for whose processing there is no statutory basis, no legitimate interest and no consent will be erased.

Hosting:
noimos hosts its website at Hostpoint AG. To enable the reliable, technically flawless and legally compliant performance of its services, the server of Hostpoint AG creates so-called log files. You can find further information on data processed by Hostpoint AG when you visit the noimos website at www.hostpoint.ch. The other applications are operated by Google on Google Cloud Services in data centres of Google in Switzerland and in the Netherlands. The same conditions apply mutatis mutandis to the log files created for these as to the log files referred to in the aforementioned conditions in this “Hosting” section.

Google Analytics
This website (www.noimos.ai) uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies” ‒ text files that are stored on your computer, which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information about your use of this website (including your IP address), which is generated by the cookie, is sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We receive support from labellers with training our VI models. The labellers manually prepare images that have been received, by manually illustrating damage, for example. The images are generally processed in anonymised form. This is done for the purposes of training and improving visual intelligence. To offer technical support as a point of contact for end customers and garages, we purchase first-level support from Callpoint. Contact form
Noimos can be contacted directly using the contact form for the purpose of individual inquiries (questions, feedback, etc.). The contact form requests personal contact information that is needed in order to provide a response (email address, telephone number, name/business name). These personal data are only kept for as long as necessary to process the inquiry.

Newsletter
Persons interested in receiving news from Noimos can register for the Noimos newsletter service. The newsletter is sent out by an external service provider. Registration and disclosure of personal data are voluntary and consent to use such data can be revoked at any time.

Right to information
Data subjects have the right to ask the person responsible for processing data at noimos for information on which of their personal information has been or is being processed. If personal data have been transmitted to a third country, a right to information shall exist in this regard.
